I had a roll of film in my Camera for a very long time (almost 2 years). After spending 40$ on processing I did get back a stack of “terrible” pictures well not all but half are going straight to the shredder the others are not great in any special way.
Given the cost I did not help to boost my self-confidence. I know how my gear inside out and how to give every picture a specific look. But looking at other people’s work I am always like. I wish I had though of that, or how could I have missed this, …
At least on Google I am consistently getting +’s, my followers have doubled but I get the same amount. This can only mean one thing “I am not getting better at this”
Thankfully there are clients and in the end really the only people who count. It is nice to see a consistent use of my pictures where they are filling blogs, websites, … When I then meet clients and get high praises for the pictures I have delivered it does make me feel a little better.
No time to celebrate however there are more shoots to plan and get the gear ready. And practice, learn and practice some more.
Here some pictures taken with my OLD and trusted Minolta 7000i (I have had it for almost 20 years bought it used)
